We are in the midst of an algebra unit of work and I am slowly but surely building up a series of short videos to explain various concepts we are covering. The students have also been provided with access to a shared folder in Google Drive where they can provide me with feedback and suggestions on the videos ... including everything from content, my explanation and how I have used various technologies. GAFE, or Google Apps For Education, has arrived at Northern Bay College!
I have been using Google Drive for shared planning this year. Slowly but surely the team I work with are beginning to use the shared drive to share planning documents and resources - a saviour for my poor inbox! The students are now all set and ready to go with their own GAFE accounts - I can't wait to get planning for how we can use the resources for some collaborative work next term. For a great read on Collaborative Learning check out chapter 3 of 'Classroom Instruction That Works'. Here are some of my scribbles (screenshot from Notability app) |
